Sunny weather to continue with temperatures of 17 degrees forecast

Met Éireann is forecasting dry and sunny weather across the country, with highest temperatures of up to 17 degrees this week.

Tuesday will be dry in many areas with sunny spells, the best of which will be over the northern half of the country.

Met Éireann is forecasting cloudier conditions in Munster and south Leinster with some showers. Temperatures may reach a high of 16 degrees on Tuesday, with moderate southeast breezes.

Tuesday night will be dry with clear spells and some mist patches, and temperatures will drop to between 0 to 6 degrees. It will be coldest in the midlands with a touch of grass frost.

Wednesday will be mainly dry with sunny spells and highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees. Met Éireann forecasts mostly light southeasterly breezes.

Wednesday night will be dry and mostly clear. Temperatures will drop to a low of 3 or 4 degrees with “light variable or southerly winds”.

Grass frost will form in parts with mist and fog patches around dawn.

The warm weather will continue into Thursday and Friday, with “good spells of sunshine and light winds”.

Highest temperatures will range from 13 degrees at the east and south coasts to 17 degrees inland. It will turn cold again after dark with some frost and fog patches, Met Éireann said.

Current indications suggest the weather will last into the weekend with dry and sunny conditions for Saturday and Sunday and light variable or easterly breezes.
