Gardaí renew appeal for information about man’s death in Dublin

Victim died after being assaulted by a group on Fairview Strand last month

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information in relation to the death of a man in Dublin a month ago.

The man was assaulted on June 7th by a number of people on Fairview Strand at approximately 11pm.

The victim, who was in his 60s, was discovered unconscious and was taken from the scene by emergency services to the Mater Hospital. He died later in hospital from his injuries.

Gardaí have declined to to disclose why they are not naming the man.

To date, three men, all aged in their 20s, have been arrested and questioned at Raheny Garda station. They were all released without charge, with files to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí appealed to anyone who may have been in the Fairview Strand area between the hours of 10.30pm and midnight on June 7th, who may have dash-cam or camera footage to come forward.
