Four-year-old girl missing from Derry found ‘safe and well’

Girl last seen leaving play centre in Springtown Industrial Estate on Monday

A four-year-old girl missing from Derry has been found “safe and well”, police have said.

A public appeal was launched in the search for Scarlet Duddy, who went missing on Monday after being last seen leaving a play centre in Springtown Industrial Estate.

The PSNI said they believed she had left the play centre with a female relative and that they were possibly in County Donegal.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced the girl had been located.

A PSNI spokesman said: “We would like to inform you that we are no longer looking for four-year-old Scarlet Duddy who was reported missing from Derry yesterday.

“Scarlet has been found safe and well this afternoon and I want to thank the public for their help with our appeal.”
