Emergency services rescue man from the River Liffey near O’Connell Bridge in Dublin.

A man was rescued from the River Liffey close to O’Connell Bridge in Dublin last night.

The river rescue boat and a number of fire brigade units attended the scene at around 10pm on Saturday and assisted in taking the man from the water.

The man was treated by paramedics at the scene.
