Baghdad - The Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr Tareq Aziz, yesterday accused the US of stirring a crisis over Iraq's refusal to let UN arms inspectors into its presidential palaces as a pretext for military action.
"This has been used as a pretext to dramatise the situation . . . to use that drama to prepare the ground for a military aggression," Mr Aziz told a press conference. "The question has been fabricated by the Americans."
