The circumstances surrounding a shooting involving the PSNI in Co Down last night are being investigated by the Police Ombudsman.
A number of shots were fired by police during a disturbance in Co Down.
Four men were arrested following the incident which happened at New Road, near Carrowdore, yesterday afternoon.
Police Ombudsman investigators attended the scene and the Police Ombudsman's office has launced an inquiry. Police Ombudsman Al Hutchinson has appealed for witnesses to the trouble to come forward.
