Manchester United defender Ronny Johnsen will be out for five weeks after injuring a hamstring in last night’s Champions League defeat to Deportivo La Coruna at Old Trafford.

Johnsen hobbled off after just five minutes to be replaced by Wes Brown and manager Alex Ferguson said the Norwegian international would be sidelined until the end of next month.

Johnsen has just returned to the United first team after missing most of the last two seasons with a serious knee injury.
