An indecent assault on a five-year-old boy in Waterford City is being investigated by gardaí.
The boy was approached by a male in his late 30s or early 40s and allegedly assaulted while playing in an open green area in St John's Park housing estate.
The incident took place at 7 p.m. yesterday and there were a number of other children playing close by.
Gardaí say they wish to question a man with greyish hair, of slight build and wearing a red soccer jersey and grey trousers.
House-to-house inquiries are being conducted by gardaí and anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305300.
