The country has basked in sunshine over the past few days and the good news is the warm spell is to continue over the weekend and into next week.
A maximum of 25.1 degrees was recorded at Shannon airport yesterday while most other weather stations recorded temperatures above 20 degrees.
Met Éireann is forecasting another warm, sunny day with long spells of sunshine for today.
While there is a possibility of a few thundery showers in parts of the west and south during the afternoon and evening, the prediction is for temperatures that will range between 21 degrees to 26 degrees.
It is expected to stay warm into tonight with temperatures of up to 14 degrees although there may be some mist of fog patches in places.
However, there is a warning that easterly winds will reach force 6 at times this evening on coasts from Roche's Point to Mizen Head to Valentia.
The balmy conditions will also be evident tomorrow with highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees forecast. It will be mild in the evening with some rain possible in the south of the country.
Evening temperatures will be between 10 to 13 degrees with light variable winds.

Sunday promises another day of sunshine with daytime temperatures ranging from 20 degrees to 22 degrees. It is expected to be slightly cooler along the south coast highs of 15 to 17 degrees forecast.
Met Éireann says that rain will affect parts of the south and southwest on Monday, but is will be light in nature.
For the rest of the country the fine weather will continue, but temperatures will start to fall back to between 15 and 18 in Munster and south Leinster, and 19 and 22 elsewhere.
It will likely be a similar story on Tuesday with rain in the south and west, with highs of 14 to 19 degrees in moderate southerly breezes.
The middle of next week looks like being somewhat changeable with temperatures around the average for the time of the year.
