Highbury draw opens door for United
Arsenal 1 Liverpool 1
Manchester United looked down from the top of the table as two of their main title rivals, Arsenal and Liverpool, cancelled each other out at Highbury.
Fredrik Ljungberg gave Arsenal a deserved lead just after the hour-mark but John Arne Riise, who had scored an own goal at Southampton in midweek, equalised four minutes later after Steven Gerrard's flash of genius.
Bergkamp almost escaped the attentions of Sami Hyypia only to volley wide from Henry's knockdown.
And while Emile Heskey and Sylvain Wiltord, as well as Lee Dixon and Gary McAllister all entered the fray, none of them managed to make enough of an impact to transform the result.
Arsenal threatened in the closing stages but Liverpool held on. The real winners of this weekend were Manchester United.
