Widespread snow and sleet this evening has caused traffic problems and some crashes in Dublin and Wicklow.
Heavy snow is currently falling in the Dundrum and Ballinteer areas according to AA Roadwatch.
Northbound traffic on the M50 at Ballinteer is moving very slowly as a result.
Motorists are advised of treacherous conditions in the Sandyford, Enniskerry and Glencullen areas, which should be avoided if possible due to heavy snowfall.
In Wicklow, the Roundwood to Kilmacanogue road (R755) and the Ashford to Roundwood road (R764) are impassable due to heavy snow in the area.
There is also heavy snow and extremely poor driving conditions in Co Kildare.
