Jerusalem - The Islamic militant group Hamas yesterday rejected pressure from President Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Authority to renounce anti-Israeli bombings, saying it was "committed to resistance".

"We repeat our commitment to the option of resistance. We consider popular resistance, particularly armed operations as a strategic choice and a line of defence against Zionist ambitions," it said.
