The Halifax bank has signed a two-year deal to become the sponsor of RTÉ's Late Late Show, the broadcaster announced today.
The Halifax - the new name for the retail banking business of Bank of Scotland (Ireland) - replaces Renault, which announced it was ending a five-year sponsorship of the show earlier this year.
The Late Late Showis among the country's most popular entertainment programmes and attracts more than half a million viewers each week.
A Halifax spokesperson said the deal was one of the "most prestigious programme sponsorships on TV".
