Grenade explodes in Dublin car

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the explosion of a grenade in a car late last night.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the explosion of a grenade in a car late last night.

The grenade exploded shortly after 11:30pm as the car was parked on Meile an Rí Road, Clondalkin,  Dublin.

No one was injured in the attack.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit declared the area safe a short time later.
