Republic of Ireland under-21 manager Don Givens has included man-of-the-moment, Stephen Elliott, in his 20-man squad ahead of the Euro 2004 qualifier against Russia in Waterford this Friday.
Elliott was instrumental in the Republic's 5-1 thumping of Poland in Gdansk last week after the Manchester City striker scored a hat-trick.
Givens' squad includes seven players who didn't make the trip to Poland. Michael Doyle (Coventry) and Sean Thornton (Sunderland) both return after injury had ruled the English-based players from travelling to Poland.
Liam Miller, who is making an impact in Scotland for Celtic this season, Graham Barrett (Coventry), Andy Reid (Nottingham Forest), Thomas Butler (Sunderland) and John Thompson (Nottingham Forest) were all called-up.
Borussia Dortmund's Patrick Kohlmann, who made his Irish Under-21 debut in Poland, keeps his place as do the three eircom League players. Waterford United goalkeeper Daniel Connor, Cork City's John O'Flynn and Shelbourne's Wes Hoolahan all earn their place.
O'Flynn and Hoolahan were the two other Irish goalscorers in the 5 - 1 win over the Poles.
