Getty Jnr gives Tories £5 m

London - The millionaire philanthropist, Mr John Paul Getty Junior, has donated £5 million ($6.86 million) to Britain's beleaguered Conservative Party, he said in a statement yesterday. Mr Getty, who was born in the US but is now a British citizen and has an estimated fortune of one billion pounds, said the Tory Party was best equipped to defend the "British way of life."
