Paris - French transport officials unveiled a perfume yesterday aimed at transforming the stink of the Paris Metro.

Paris - French transport officials unveiled a perfume yesterday aimed at transforming the stink of the Paris Metro.

The scent, named "Madeleine" by the RATP Parisregion transport authority after one of the smelliest stations, will spread flowery notes of "countryside, woods, flowers and fruit", officials said. A whiff of Madeleine, however, revealed a strong resemblance to an air freshener.
