An Israeli missile struck a car in northern Gaza this evening, killing one Palestinian gunman, witnesses and medics said.
The army had no immediate comment.
Palestinian witnesses said the missile was fired after militants in the area fired a rocket into Israel.
The military has stepped up such attacks since a suicide bombing killed five Israelis on Wednesday.
