Gardaí seized cash and stolen property during searches in Co Tipperary over the weekend.
The searches were part of an investigation into recent burglaries in the south Tipperary and north Cork areas.
It is understood a large amount of cash and stolen jewellery were found buried near Ballyporeen.
A Garda spokesman said no arrests had been made and that more searches were expected in the coming days.
The investigation is being co-ordinated by gardaí in Cahir as part of Operation Anvil, which was launched in May 2005 to target crime in the Dublin area.
Gardaí from Cork and Dublin are assisting.
