Gardai issue appeal for missing Derry man

Gardai tonight issued an appeal for a Northern Ireland psychiatric patient who may be in Dublin

Gardai tonight issued an appeal for a Northern Ireland psychiatric patient who may be in Dublin. Mark John Kilpatrick (38) has been missing from the Ross Thompson Hospital in Coleraine since Monday.

He is approximately six foot two inches with a slim build and with long black hair, possibly in dreadlocks. He was wearing a dark tartan-type shirt, black waistcoat and a black hoodie. He walks with a stoop.

A Garda spokesman added: "Mr Kilpatrick has a history of mental illness and self harm and his elderly parents are very concerned for his well-being."

Anybody with information is asked to contact the PSNI at Coleraine on 028-703-44122 or the Ross Thompson Hospital on 028-703-46114.

Gardai believe Mr Kilpatrick is in Dublin City centre, possibly in the O'Connell Street area.
