Gardaí in Dublin are investigating an armed raid on a pub in the city early yesterday morning.

Three masked men entered the Harbour Master pub at the Financial Services Centre in the city centre at around 1 a.m.  At least two of the men were carrying firearms.

Staff were forced to open a safe and the men escaped with what has been described as "a substantial sum of cash."  The men escaped in a grey or silver Mitsubishi car.

A short time later another car, which it is believed was also involved in the robbery, was recovered at East Wall.  It is being examined for forensic evidence.

The gardaí at Store Street would like anyone who may have seen the raiders enter or leave the scene of the robbery or witnesses to the incident to call them at 01-6668000.
