Gardaí in Co Monaghan are hunting for thieves who are specialising in stealing valuable, old-style post boxes.
In the last week alone they have struck in Newbliss and Stonebridge in the Clones area.
They operate by sawing a timber postwhichthe old boxes are fixed to.
Gardaí are appealing toantique dealers who may be offered the boxesto contact them.
The boxesdate from the late 19th and early 20th century.
