Gardai in Co Meath are investigating a robbery at a bank in Oldcastle today.
Shortly after 11am, two men dressed in high-visibility jackets and wearing balaclavas entered the bank and threatened staff and customers with knives.
They took quantity of cash and made their getaway in a grey or silver hatchback car bearing a registration starting with 05 KE, a Garda statement said. The quantity of cash involved was not specified.
Gardai appealed to anyone who may have been in the Oldcastle area or who was travelling on the road from Oldcastle to Castlepollard between 10.45am and 11.15am to contact them.
