A Garda sergeant appeared in Dundalk District Court yesterday charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice

A Garda sergeant appeared in Dundalk District Court yesterday charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice. Garda James Cunningham, with an address at New Houses, Abbeylands, Duleek, Co Meath, is charged with committing the offence at Mullaharlin, Dublin Road, Dundalk, on September 13th last year.

Judge Flan Brennan granted Insp Patrick Magee, of Dundalk, a six-week adjournment and an extension of time for service of a book of evidence. The case was adjourned until February 25th.
