A prosecution against the GAA for alleged food hygiene breaches at Croke Park may now not be heard until after the All Ireland final. The GAA faces 13 summonses for hygiene breaches following inspection of the main cafeteria in the Hogan stand last July 28th.

However, the hearing was adjourned after Dublin District Court heard a co defendant, cafeteria operator, Mr Michael Lawlor, of Concessions Ireland, was appealing his own case.

Judge Desmond Hogan said both sets of summonses arose from the same inspection and it would be unfair to subpoena Mr Lawlor before completion of his own case.

However, the judge gave the Eastern Health Board liberty to re enter the prosecution if Mr Lawlor did not proceed with his appeal. The case was adjourned until July 7th for mention.
