The following are the funeral arrangements for former taoiseach Dr Garret FitzGerald:
Saturday 21st May
Lying in repose in the Oak Room, Mansion House, Dublin 2 from 11am until 7pm.
This will be an opportunity for members of the public to file past the coffin and pay their respects to Dr FitzGerald and to sign a book of condolence.
Formal reception of Dr. FitzGerald’s remains at the Sacred Heart Church, Donnybrook, Dublin 4 at 8pm.
Following the 8pm service and until 10.30 p.m. that evening (when the Sacred Heart Church will close) there will be a further opportunity for members of the public to file past the coffin and to offer their condolences to the family.
Sunday 22nd May
Mass of Christian Burial, Sacred Heart Church, Donnybrook at 2.30pm.
Shanganagh Cemetery
Burial will take place in Shanganagh Cemetry, Old Bray Road, Shankill, Co. Dublin. The funeral cortege is expected to arrive at about 4.30pm.
Seating for the Mass on Sunday will be reserved, with limited remaining seating available for members of the public. The Mass will be relayed outside the Church.
Flags are being flown at half-mast on all Government buildings until after the funeral.
