Funds of £13.5 million are to be made available to voluntary and community groups in Belfast in the single biggest award under the Peace and Reconciliation Programme.

Groups were yesterday invited to apply for funds under the Belfast European Partnership Board programme, financed by the European Commission and local government, which aims to help the city recover from years of conflict: the funds will be used in areas worst affected, particularly in economic terms.
