Washington - The US has created a special task force to investigate the decline of frogs and toads and the increased incidence of deformities among the amphibians.
One third of US toads, frogs and salamanders have disappeared from their habitats and an increased number of them are deformed, with one or two extra back legs or no legs at all. The US has some 230 species of amphibians.
