Leeds United striker Robbie Fowler will visit a surgeon tomorrow for an examination on the hip injury that forced him to return home early from the club's tour of Australia and the Far East.
The former Liverpool favourite is on his way home from Bangkok today while the rest of his team-mates prepare for the final game of their trip in Thailand.
Leeds are hopeful that the injury, which is a recurrence of a problem he first suffered at the end of last season, is not too serious.
A club spokesman said: "He'll stay in Liverpool tonight at home and then come to Leeds tomorrow to be seen by the club's doctor and a surgeon the club uses.
"He'll have a scan and then we'll take it from there. It's not thought to be serious and there's a possibility that he could train again later this week".
Fowler appeared as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 win over Chilean champions Colo Colo in Melbourne on Saturday.
