Jerusalem - The Israeli army said yesterday its forces had killed four guerrillas in southern Lebanon since Tuesday in two separate incidents.

Three died on Wednesday after being ambushed by Israeli troops in the central sector of Israel's south Lebanon occupation zone, it said. Another was killed by air force fire on Tuesday.

In Beirut a pro-Iranian Hizbullah official said the Israelis had killed only one of its fighters in clashes on Wednesday.

Hizbullah guerrillas killed three Israeli soldiers and wounded five others in fierce clashes early on Tuesday.
