Four men arrested yesterday over a firearms incident in Tallaght were released without charge last night.
The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The four men tried to gain entry to a house at Brookview Rise in Tallaght and in failing to do so left the scene in a silver car. The car was located a short distance away.
The men, ranging in age from the late twenties to the late thirties, were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939, on unlawful possession of a firearm.
