A man (21) is recovering in hospital after being shot in the hands and legs in north Belfast last night. He was attacked in the Ardoyne Road at about 11.45 p.m.

Earlier, a man (24) was shot in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim. The victim was confronted by a number of men in Carnhill Walk at about 5.15 pm. He was then forced to the ground and shot once in one of his legs.

A 19-year-old in Larne, Co Antrim was dragged off the street at Killyglen. He had a bag put over his head and was then bundled into the boot of a car. He was then driven off and shot in the left arm and right leg.

Another 19-year-old was attacked in Newtownabbey. He was discovered at the rear of houses in Monkstown with gunshot wounds to both calves.

There were no arrests made in relation to any of the incidents.
