Nairobi - Floods caused by torrential rains have made up to 800,000 people homeless in southern Somalia, the UN Children's Fund said yesterday. Torrential rains, blamed on the El Nino climatic warming spreading from the Pacific, have been ravaging Kenya's Indian Ocean coast and other areas.
