Flamboyant Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley plans to bring his spectacular stage shows to the stock market, according to financial website CityWire.

A flotation of his business, Unicorn Entertainment, is pencilled in for the main market for early next year but there is no set date at this stage.

Unicorn is the holding company for Flatley's Irish dance shows, Lord of the Danceand Feet of Flames.

Currently four touring troupes are performing the show in Japan, South Africa, Europe and the US, while millions of videos have been sold. Feet of Flameshas enjoyed similar success.

Most of the money comes from the global tours while sales of merchandise from books and music to clothing and mobile phone ringtones also reap rewards for Unicorn. The company is also looking at the possibility of expanding into digital television and may also consider acquisitions.
