One man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg and two others were assaulted following an attack by five men who burst into their house in Coleraine, Co Derry just before midnight.

In Belfast, a middle-aged man is reported to be in a critical condition in hospital after he was shot in the chest on Good Shepherd Road in Belfast. Parents have been advised that diversions for access to the Good Shepherd school are in place.

A man in his twenties was shot in the leg in Co Antrim after three men approached him in the garden of his house in Newtownabbey.
