Firework link to Dublin shop blaze investigated

A shop in Dublin's Cabra was set alight last night after a youth threw a firework into the premises.

A shop in Dublin's Cabra was set alight last night after a youth threw a firework into the premises.

According to gardaí around six youths gathered outside the 7-11 shop on Faussagh Avenue at around 8.45 p.m. last night.

It is understood one youth held the door open while another threw the firework inside.

The owner and a number of people were in the shop at the time but escaped the incident unscathed. Flats above the store were also damaged.
