A large shooting star was seen over Dublin at 10.10 last night. It was described as having "a very white front with a flame" by the editor of Astronomy Ireland, Mr Tony Ryan. The sighting was confirmed by Dublin Airport. Mr Ryan appealed to anyone with security camera recordings of the meteor to contact him by e-mail at ai@iol.ie or www.astronomy.ie.
