Fire engine attacked in Dublin

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of an attack on emergency services in Dublin last night.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of an attack on emergency services in Dublin last night.

A unit of the Dublin fire brigade was attending the scene of a small fire in the Beech Hill Villas area of Donnybrook shortly after 1am  when a number of “objects” were reported to have struck the fire engine.

It is believed an air rifle may have been used in the incident. The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination.
