Versailles - A 76 year-old French woman who for 30 years kept an unpaid servant in a squalid shed at the bottom of her garden was given a suspended prison term of a year yesterday and ordered to give her victim compensation.
Last January police discovered Ms Anne-Pierrette Drossard (65) "in a state of total destitution at the property of Francoise Saunier (76), in the plush Paris suburb of Chatou.
