Company finance directors believe the main political parties are ignoring the needs of business in their election campaigns, according to a new survey.
A poll of 460 finance executives found complaints that economic issues had been "by-passed" by social concerns.
Fewer than one in five of those surveyed by recruitment firm Reed believed that business needs were being covered.
One director said: "They are just addressing the issues that will get them re-elected rather than addressing the areas that need attention."

Mr Richard Post, director of Reed Accountancy Personnel, said: "The UK economy's relative stability has meant it is unlikely that commercial concerns will replace social and domestic issues on the campaign trail."
