Manchester United and France goalkeeper Fabien Barthez could be back in action next week against Zalaegerszeg, Old Trafford boss Alex Ferguson said today.
Barthez missed the first leg of United's Champions League qualifier - a shock 1-0 defeat by the Hungarians in Budapest last week - with a hip injury.
That prompted speculation that the keeper could be out of action for a lengthy period. But Ferguson told United's official website:
"Fabien won't be fit for Friday at Chelsea but maybe OK for Tuesday against Zalaegerszeg He is doing his training and we are quite hopeful."
