Tennis: Roger Federer underlined his supremacy in the tennis world by beating nemesis Rafael Nadal to reach the final of the Masters Cup in Shanghai.
The Swiss star prevailed 6-4 6-1 for his sixth victory in 14 career meetings against the Spaniard.
He will now meet Nadal's compatriot David Ferrer in Sunday's title showdown.
Ferrer booked his place after as his impressive form continued with a straight-sets victory over Andy Roddick.
The Spaniard was the only man to emerge form the group stage of the tournament unblemished and was again in imperious form, racing to a 6-1 6-3 win.
Coming off the back of a 6-4 6-2 defeat at the hands of Federer in his final group match, Roddick was simply never in the game.
World number six Ferrer needed just 28 minutes to secure the first set.
He won 92 per cent of points on his first serve and, after Roddick held in the opening game of the match, broke the American three times in a row in a run of six consecutive games to take the opener 6-1.
Former world number one Roddick made more of a game of it in the second set but again fell a break behind early on.
He had two break-back points at 4-2 down, but his Spanish opponent held on and served out the match two games later to seal a dominant win and a place in the final of the season-ending tournament.
