The family of Mr Paul McQuaid, the second of two young men to disappear in Dublin city centre, have renewed their appeal for anyone with any information to come forward.
Gardai do not know what happened to Mr McQuaid (25), who vanished two weeks ago, or to Mr Trevor Deely (22). Neither displayed any suicidal tendencies, and there are no signs of accidents. Gardai have not ruled out foul play.
Mr Deely, from Naas, Co Kildare, a bank official, was last seen after a Christmas party on December 8th last.
Mr McQuaid was last seen at 12.30 a.m. on Saturday, May 12th, in Judge Roy Bean's in Nassau Street. He had left friends because he was due in work the next morning.
Ms Emer McCarthy, a colleague of Mr McQuaid in the IT department of the ESB, said: "We are asking people to please look back through their memories of that night. If you were at the Trinity Ball or if you were in town that night, did you see anything at all unusual? You may feel it is not important, but it could be a crucial fact.
"Paul may have walked home to Fairview via North Strand, so we are asking anyone in the city centre or on the way to Fairview who has information to get in touch."
Mr McQuaid is 5 10["] tall, of slim build, with short dark hair and blue eyes. He has a Northern accent and was wearing a navy blue bomber jacket, navy T-shirt and dark jeans. Clontarf Garda station is handling the investigation.
