Kieren Fallon added the £250,000 Coronation Stakes to yesterday's Gold Cup when steering Russian Rhythm, trained by to victory at Royal Ascot today.
The odds-on favourite (4-7) became the first filly since 1979 to achieve the 1,000 Guineas-Coronation Stakes double.
Mail The Desert and the winner's stable companion Fantasize cut out all the running, with Kieren Fallon tracking them on Russian Rhythm.
Once in the straight Fallon seized his chance and the race was quickly over as the filly strode clear of Soviet Song (9-2) and Mail The Desert (14-1).
