The long running strike at Wellman International, Mullagh, Co Meath, is still deadlocked, and there are no moves to resume talks.

The 260 production workers, members of SIPTU, are on strike over the company's decision unilaterally to introduce new work practices and to redeploy 35 production workers in the plant.

Wellman, a subsidiary of Wellman Inc, New Jersey, makes polyester and nylon stable fibres.
