A German application for the extradition of a Belfast man on charges connected with an IRA mortar attack on a British army barracks in Germany last June will be heard on January 20th, Judge Peter Smithwick ruled yesterday in Dublin District Court.

The hearing of the application concerning Mr James Anthony Oliver Albert Corry (28), of Hillman Street, Belfast, had been expected to open yesterday, but Mr Edward Comyn SC, prosecuting, said he had instructions from the Attorney General to seek further information. He applied for a one week adjournment.

Last month the court heard that a provisional warrant related to the causing of explosions in Germany around the end of June last year, and to the attempted murder of British soldiers stationed in Germany.
