An application from First Active bank for a 2,700sq m extension to its headquarters at Booterstown, Co Dublin, is being opposed by the local residents' association. Its chairman, Mr Dermot Penston, claims the scale of the proposed extension is out of character with the area, which has many 200-year-old houses, and that the traffic generated would be unsustainable.
