An explosion ripped through a passenger bus in the southern Pakistani city of Hyderabad today, wounding at least 15 people, two of them critically, police and ambulance workers said.

Hyderabad is about 160 kilometres north of Karachi, where there have been a series of bomb attacks this year blamed on Islamic militant groups.

Two of the wounded were in critical condition, police said. No other details were immediately available.
