Badminton: Ireland's involvement at the world badminton championships ended earlier today as Scott Evans bowed out at the second round stage.
Evans, the Irish national champion, took his contest with Hong Kong’s Yan Kit Chan to three sets but ran out of steam in the decider and was beaten 21-16,19-21,21-12.
Chloe Magee, like Evans an Olympian in Beijing last year, was defeated in the women’s first round yesterday in the Indian city of Hyderabad.
