Euro changeover took eight days, says report

The changeover to the euro in Ireland was complete by January 8th, according to the euro changeover board’s annual report.

In the report, published this morning, the board described the changeover as smooth and rapid and said it caused minimum disruption.

According to the report, the information campaign that ran in the months before the changeover cost €16 million.

The euro changeover board has now been dissolved.
